Exhaust pipe wrap is composed of knitted glass fiber or rock fiber used to wrap any diameter pipe or cable. It can also provide extra safety by reducing the chance of exhaust pipe burn. Wrapping the exhaust system maintains the heat in the exhaust gases, which decreases density and allows exhaust gases to exit the system faster. The exhaust wrap can withstand continuous temperatures of 1040°F/560°C and temperature spikes of 2000°F/1093°C. The wrap can be fastened with Thermal-Tie, hose clamps, or wires. The exhaust wrap is asbestos-free and made from high-quality fiberglass yarn. The material is noncombustible, as well as water and fungus resistant. Titanium exhaust wraps are made from lava rock fiber which can withstand continuous temperatures of 1600° F/871°C and up to 2500° F/1371°C of intermittent heat. Materials are fire resistant, flame retardant, heat insulating, anti-splash of molten steel, anti-oil, anti-acid, and waterproof.
